Meghan Hackett Cassidy was born and raised in Bronxville, NY. She was first recognized as a colorist during a summer internship in high school that started her life long affair with interiors. She went on to obtain her B.A. in Art History from Hartwick College in 2008.
Meghan trained under designer Ken Gemes of Bronxville, NY and Victoria Hagan of New York, NY. She began assisting friends and family with interior design projects which blossomed into a thriving business.
In 2016, Meghan made the decision to bring a partner on board to take the business to the next level - someone with a background in business, a savvy sense of design and a strong work ethic. Her sister, Erin Hackett, was the logical choice.
Erin graduated in 2013 from Gettysburg College with a B.A. in Organizational Management. Upon graduation she worked in marketing and event management.
Since working for boutique executive search-firms, she realized that she yearned for a more entrepreneurial and creative environment. Leaving the corporate world, Erin believed that working in combination with Meghan lended the ideal circumstance. One might say, this had become a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
Thus, Hackett Interiors was born.
